We booked a room late after a hard day of driving and oh what a nice place Rami´s Penzion was. The environment was peaceful, just what we needed. The food was good and the price was reasonable, thanks to the chef. Breakfast was more than enough. We could have spent several days here in peace and quiet if our schedules had allowed. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

Very nice cottages in the nature, next to a creek. Each cottage has 4 bedrooms, so it is comfortable for 8 persons. The garden was very nice, there is a bathtub, grill and a fireplace. Easy parking and very friendly owner. We had a great time and we can recommend this place.

The hosts of the "Windstille" -- a little "penzion," located in a picturesque rural section of Oscadnica -- offer their guests a whole independent section of a neat, nicely maintained section of their own house, access to their garden, a comfortable parking lot, and free, fast, wifi. Each of us had a separate room with an ensuite bathroom, all clean and spacious, a kitchen and a salon equipped with two sofas, table with chairs, and a plasma TV. The lovely family are welcoming, warm, and helpful, ready to share local knowledge and to accommodate their guests special needs, should such needs arise. For those seeking peace and seclusion, or slow-life away from the bustle of large cities, the place is ideal. Over six days in Oscadnica, we were able to produce almost 1/4th of the monograph on which we were working, enjoying the mountainous landscape around. Within walking distance from the the house there is a little grocery store, and a restaurant, offering its customers wonderful service and excellent cuisine. Several mountain tracks begin in the vicinity of the "Windstille," which might be of interest to naturalists and hikers. A larger Coop supermarket and several ski-lifts are located within a short drive. In short, if your needs are as unassuming as ours, if you do not need jacuzzis, swimming pools, bars, or meals served by the hosts, the "Windstille" will be an ideal place for an extended stay, and a good base for excursions.

I am very touched, because the hotel was empty due to the season, but the hotel manager patiently waited for my late arrival, greeting me at the door when I arrived(!). The manager also speaks excellent English, is extremely polite, friendly and a good communicator. The carpets on the hotel stairs and corridors are so clean that I left my outdoor shoes on the first floor to go up the carpeted stairs to my room, wearing socks. It is like a home where you leave your outdoor shoes in the hallway. The same was repeated with the room - very clean, cozy and warm light, underfloor heating in the bathroom, the rooms are warm. Hot water came from the tap in a few seconds, which is an impressive luxury. TV, small fridge (empty), balcony with chairs.. Super fast Wi-fi. Large and comfortable bed, the pillow was extra large - and one candy on the pillow. Blackout curtains. Free and safe parking in the backyard of the house, close to the door. The breakfast was prepared by the hotel manager himself - for one person, as I was, in private. And yet the breakfast was rich, well-prepared and multi-course. One of the best hotels (and especially its manager) I have ever stayed in, because the entire reception, from check-in to departure, was full of care.

I flew into Katowice from Ireland and took a hit car to drive to Čadca, arriving late in the evening. I was greeted with a very welcome refreshing fruit punch drink after my long drive and shown to a lovely spacious room with a wonderfully powerful and hot shower. The building is historic, so it has a wonderful feeling, but it’s clean, modern and pleasant in practical terms. It is in the heart of everything and the staff make you feel like you’re part of a family.
