Just a 5-minute walk both from Heiligenblut’s centre and ski area, the family-run Hotel Kaiservilla features a spa area with a Finnish sauna and a steam bath, and a ski storage room with a ski boot dryer. The Großglockner High Alpine Road can be accessed 50 metres from the hotel. Great breakfast, location and super nice staff. Sauna facilities are very nice too. Family friendly!

Family-run for over 300 years, Gasthof Post in Rennweg is just off the A10 motorway and a 5-minute drive from the Katschberg Ski Area. It offers a sauna, steam bath, and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian and Carinthian cuisine. We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Post very much. Traditional Austrian decor with the hints of modern was exactly what we wanted. Super clean, comfortable bads and specious rooms. Great Austrian hospitality.

The modern accommodation at Wallner - Hotel & Wirt includes a flat-screen satellite TV and a bathroom. Most overlook the surrounding mountains. The Gerlitzen-Kanzelbahn cable car is 800 metres away and the stop of the free ski bus can be found right in front of the hotel. A riding centre can be reached within a few minutes drive and the city of Villach is 10 km away. Absolutely loved our stay. I wish more hotels would be like this. Service and comfort are number one. Location - Perfect, just a few minutes from the highway on one side, yet surrounded by mountains on the other side, and near a lake. Rooms - Spacious with a thoughtful layout. The rooms seemed also suitable for people with mobility issues. I especially appreciated extra storage space in the bathroom. The view of the surrounding mountains was nice. Facilities - Again, everything so thoughtful. The spa area was wonderful. The saunas and showers are comfy and offer enough privacy if you want it. The relaxation room was exactly that, I could've gladly stayed there overnight if someone asked me to. The game room with pool tables and board games is a really nice touch. My BF and I had a lot of fun. Great idea for guests wanting to stay in and just relax. Staff - Everyone was kind and explained everything we needed to know right from the start. All together a great deal if you find yourself in the area.

Skiing and cycling are possible within the area, and the apartment offers ski storage space. Very nice, spacious, clean, newly renovated apartment with a cute terrace. Kids especially liked the wall fireplace. 😀 Approachable and kind host.

Landhaus Königsreiner, a property with barbecue facilities, is located in Kolbnitz, 12 km from Roman Museum Teurnia, 22 km from Porcia Castle, as well as 25 km from Millstatt Abbey. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden.

For guests with children, Landhaus Königsreiner provides a baby safety gate. After a day of skiing, cycling or walking tours, guests can relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, meticulously clean and comfortable property. The family that owns and operates this recently renovated property welcomed us with open arms and took very good care of us. Our room was very comfortable. The shower was great. Balcony views incredible. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Carinthia, mostly locally sourced fresh products. Good coffee, good eggs. We are hiking Alpe Adria trail and this has been one of our favorite stays. Thanks for hosting us! I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone walking Alpe Adria or touring my car in the area.

The holiday home provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and a hair dryer. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the holiday home, all units come with bed linen and towels.

Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a ski equipment rental service, ski-to-door access and a ski pass sales point are also available on-site. Staff was super helpful, even though we had to make last minute changes due to a sickness. The apartment was right on the slope (ski in and out, right to the door), and it was super clean. Also the apartment we got was of very high quality, furniture, machines, materials used were above average. The ski storage room with lockers per apartment was very useful and easy to access. The automated, 24/7 shop on-site was excellent, and there's another automated (unstaffed) one reachable with a 3 minute walk, and a proper shop open until 5pm a few hundred meters away, so the location was perfect. It was also very quiet and comfortable.
