The owner greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. Her energy and smile are absolutely contagious! Our room was perfectly clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and included a meat/cheese/tomato/cucumber tray, baskets of assorted bread (with various spreads), and beverages (we had juice, water, and tea). You can also order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. All of the dinner and dessert options we ordered were fresh and delicious. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. Ample parking, as there is a large adjacent lot in addition to parking directly in front of the building. This a is great place to stay if you're in town for any of the races at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Surrounded by the scenic Almenland Nature Reserve, Gasthof Hofbauer in Breitenau am Hochlantsch features a traditional restaurant and a sauna. All rooms provide a balcony and free WiFi access. The hosts were welcoming. The guesthouse was modern and clean, it has a really nice vibe. It is next to a low-traffic road so it's not too noisy but easy to access. The breakfast and lunch if phenomenal! Most stuff is local and organic, so you can get really fresh and tasty food.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We chose a suite and were surprised by the size of it. It had a coffee maker and a small fridge which were perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was great. There was a tub but we didn't use it during our stay. There was a nice porch out front where we sat to enjoy the spring sunshine. Breakfast was a feast with items and coffee made to order as well as a large layout of food to chose from in the buffet. We ate dinner in the evening and everything was fresh and made to order. It was so good we were even tempted by dessert. We enjoyed being in a family run establishment which made us feel like welcome guests.

The Mönichwalderhof enjoys a scenic location in Mönichwald in Eastern Styria. It offers a spa area with an indoor pool, and a large garden with a children’s playground. The food was excellent even for a someone with celiac. Super friendly staff! Clean big room in a beautiful village in the forest.

The family-run Mein Hotel Fast is situated in the centre of Wenigzell, just a 5-minute drive from the slopes and features a spacious spa area. We have spent a week at this location which lies at about 800 m in a charming little Mountain Village. The Hotel is very modern with very spacious rooms, immaculate and tidy. We originally booked a double room but on arrival , we were upgraded to a mini suite which was such a lovely surprise! This consisted of a bedroom leading onto a sitting room with yet another sofa which could’ve served as a third bed , from where the room opened onto a veranda with lovely views of the fields and towards the mountains in the background. The food was quite delicious and although we only expected breakfast and supper, they actually served a very substantial snack during the day between 2 and 4 pm The outdoor swimming pool was surrounded by decking for those people who enjoyed the Sun However, beyond that area was a large lawn dotted with shade trees where people could hide away from the sun and relax. There was also an indoor swimming pool which I used several times. It was charming with a lovely restroom next to it, with towels and robes. And looking out onto a private lawn area again dotted with deckchairs. It was very hot whilst we were there so I did not use the outdoor pool and the decking area surrounding it. But we went and hid under the big leafy trees on the lawn beyond the pool area Everything was beautifully done , to cater for all different kinds of guests. The other thing I liked was there was no piped music in the dining room , which made it lovely and peaceful If you wanted to have your meals outside, you could go and sit on the terrace outside the main dining room. It was very comfortable and breezy in this hot weather. I could go on and on, but it was the most amazing place and I will certainly come again Thank you very much, Hotel Fast.

The Almwellness Hotel Pierer****Superior on the Teichalm refreshes with even more recreational quality. This was a perfect holiday with attentive staff and wonderful setting and facilities. The relaxation and enjoyment was the very best. The family room spacious and the view stunning. The local food was delicious and vegetarian food readily available and tasty.

We stayed for 3 days (far too short), as a family with a dog in tow – and wow, this place exceeded expectations on every level. The house was not just clean, it was surgical theatre clean. Probably the cleanest place we've ever stayed. If the Alps ever offered certificates, this one would say “Certified Hygienic Luxury.” Let’s talk kitchen: better equipped than most people’s actual homes. We're talking full spice rack, gadgets galore, appliances that made you want to cook for fun. Add to that: smart TVs in every room, top-notch Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, dishwasher – honestly, you could settle in for a full sabbatical and not miss a beat. The layout was fantastic – plenty of proper bedrooms + extra chill/sleep zones on the mezzanines. Great for families, groups, or people who just like to have options. Now, the view. That view. Straight from a screensaver – mountains, stillness, nature whispering "you’re doing amazing, sweetie." And the hot tub on the terrace? Spotless. Big enough to stretch out. Basically a spa with altitude. Bonus points: super responsive host, fast communication, and a remote-yet-practical location with shops just 15 mins away. Oh – and a nearby lake perfect for dog walks, picnics, or pondering whether to extend your stay "just a few more nights." If there’s a spot available when we’re booking next – don’t even ask. We’re coming back. And we might bring friends. Or just more dogs.
