"Park Hotel Ela", located in the picturesque resort of Borovets, is 50 metres from the gondola lift and offers luxurious amenities including a sauna, steam bath and massage treatments. The location was perfect! The staff was so friendly and the food delicious! The spa was very nice and not full. We will definitely go back!

Rila Hotel Borovets ligger i hjertet af det første bjergferiested på Balkan - Borovets, 70 km fra Sofia. Hotel Rila Borovets ligger for enden af skipisterne, kun 200 m fra gondolbanen. Perfect location - you can start skiing right from the entrance to the hotel. Ski pass and equipment you can buy inside the hotel. Good breakfast and dinner (with an amazing mountain view). We also asked for the birthday package for our daughter - and it was really great (includes beautiful cake with candles, lemonades and gift - all for extra payment). The pool was a really good activity for the evening. We and our kids (aged 4 and 10) really enjoyed the stay, and we would be happy to come back again.

The White Horse Apartments ligger 47 km fra Vitosha Park. Overnatningsstedet har gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet har boblebad og sauna. This place is an absolute gem. Our host George has been exceptional so far. He assisted us with directions before we arrived and met us with a smile to show us around the room and small spa facility which looks lovely, complete with jacuzzi, sauna, bathroom facilities and optional music. George also helped us out with ski hire from the shop next door, they provided a good price compared to other tourist trap ski hire shops. I would recommend not booking ski hire, etc online and speaking to your host at the apartments instead. He advised that we get the rechargeable ski pass which works out cheaper if you're here for a bit longer. He also gave us reccomendations for food and drink nearby and told us where to avoid. The room itself is lovely, massive windows let in loads of natural light. Comfortable bed. There's also a nice shared balcony overlooking the ski slopes, which brings me on to my next point. The location could not be any better, right across the road from the ski slopes with the ski hire shop right next door and countless food and drink spots within a stone's throw. There seem to be some negative reviews linked to the Google page for White Horse Apartments which are actually for a white horse restaurant which isn't operating anymore. Don't let it deter you. George was also telling us about the plans to further improve the amenities for the accommodation. I won't share the details but it will definitely be worth checking out. We've barely started our holiday here but already we know that we'll be back at some point. Edit after check out: tried to leave a tip for George's mum who cleans the rooms because we can be a bit messy and when we went to collect our bags I found the tip lying on top of the bags. Went to give it to George and they refused to accept it. If that doesn't say something then I don't know what does.

Excellent atmosphere and unbeatable price, the host was really friendly and felt at home here. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary utensils including a dish washer. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies.
