The breakfast provided in the morning is also very good.

It is only a 5-minute walk from Zermatt Train Station and Sunnegga Express funicular. The host was amazing and gave us a lot of information. Our guests are more than welcome to take advantage of the wellness and pool on the day of arrival (before check-in time) and departure (after check-out time). On request and for an extra charge, massages can be organised, as well. The hotel was great , very traditional and comfortable décor . it was actually better than expected as the photos don't really do it justice , especially the pool etc . we had a great view of Zermatt from our 3rd floor balcony . breakfast was also great .

We loved our stay at Alpen Resort & Spa! Thanks for the upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn! We really enjoyed the outdoor whirlpool and all the other spa facilities as well. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants in Zermatt. Accommodating staff. Afternoon cake and tea. We could use the spa during our last day as well which was very convenient as our train back was leaving in the evening.

All winter sport facilities and cable cars can be reached easily on foot. You can rent or buy skis on site and tickets for the lifts and cable cars are sold at the front desk. The ski bus stops right in front of the Bristol hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. Had Mountain view in my reservation but got upgraded to a double room, very spacious. And a large balcony where I took food back for dinner and just enjoyed the view. The hotel has a super spa: steam, ice, different saunas etc - which was included in the room. The staff was super nice and helpful also.

The added bonus of a balcony looking directly at the Matterhorn was superb. Breakfast was of a very high standard with an amazing choice of fresh foods. I loved my stay here. Thank you 😊
