Everything was perfect, such a nice hotel, exactly what you expect from a mountain hotel. Well decorated rooms with a nice terrace, breakfast had also everything one needs to start a good day. The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains.

Farchant is an ideal staring point for hiking and skiing, with several skilifts within 9 km. Zugspitze (mountain) is 15 kilometers away and Eibsee (lake) is 15 kilometers away. The hotel itself is cozy, comfortable, clean and furnished in a unique, I would say traditional style. The host - owner of the property was very friendly, outgoing and welcoming. We loved everything about our stay there and we would recommend the hotel 10 out of 10 times.

We stayed in Avalon Hotel one night, to take rest of a long ride with car. We got everything we needed: a clean room with warm shower and a comfortable bed. When we woke up in the morning, we had a beautiful view on mountains. The breakfast is being served on the top floor, with a great view on the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
