The decoration in the upstairs common room was very inviting and created a cozy vibe. The young woman welcoming us and cooking our breakfast was very friendly and it was nice chatting to her and the other guests in the kitchen. The B&B was a short walk away from several restaurants in the very small town.

Bike hire and car hire are available at the apartment and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. Ylläs Chalet 8208 has a children's playground and a picnic area. This is our 2nd time staying in Chalet 8208 and we are already planning to comeback in 2026. Everything clean, kitchen very well equipped and great location. The staff who answered the messages our very nice and fast to answer.

All units in the hotel are equipped with a kettle. With a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and a hairdryer, rooms at Arctic Skylight Lodge also feature a mountain view. All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a desk.

Guests at the hotel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Äkäslompolo, like hiking, skiing and cycling. We spent one night in late March at Arctic Skylodge and it was magical. The cabin was warm, the bed was incredibly comfortable and we saw a little bit of aurora activity! So nice that you don’t have to go outside to see them. You can see the entire sky from the glass cabin. Breakfast was delicious and they also have gluten free options. We unfortunately didn’t get to have dinner here as the chef was unwell. But we did get a good tip from the receptionist to eat at Los Lompolo’s - a mix of Finnish and Mexican cuisine. It was delicious (get the churros!).

Ski storage space is available on-site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of Ylläshuiput Chalet Apartment. Right next to the slopes. Very clean and well maintained apartment. Clear guidance instructions from owners.

Hiking is possible within the area and the apartment offers ski storage space. Wow for the price I payed this was terrific! I wasn't expecting a private sauna in the bathroom when I booked (I'm not sure if they advertise that clearly but it was definitely a cool bonus) it heated up properly too (100C+). Facilities are great, lots of cutlery and plates etc, new kitchen facilities. It worked great for me as a night stopover on my road trip.

The surroundings have many opportunities for outdoor activities, including skiing, cycling and fishing. Ylläs gondola lift is 5 minutes' away, and Kellokas Nature Centre is 2.4 km away. Kittilä Airport is 50 km away. Excellent Property, Rooms, very helpful staff and lovely breakfast! :)

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. Ylläs Ski Resort is 2.7 km away. We had an absolutely perfect stay. The apartment was spotless, very cosy, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. We felt at home right away. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. Guests have access to the excellent Ylläs ski slopes and a variety of hiking trails through the peaceful Lappish wilderness. We are a mixed couple that traveled all the way from Turku, the cabin was very cozy and warm, close enough to the stores, gas station with a beautiful view towards the ski resort. The breakfast was exceptional!
