Perfect location for skiing, with convenient access to airport and slopes with bus. Cross-country skiing trails run just a couple steps away. Very kind hosts, we will most definitely return!

Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a bicycle rental service and ski storage space are also available on-site. We loved our stay here. The room was warm and cozy. There is a small living area for the rooms to use which is very cosy and relaxing. There is a boiler available for guests to use (with tea and coffee) in the living room, which was nice! The accommodation is located very conviently walking distance to everything in Akaslompolo (restaurants, lake, supermarket, nature trails) and I loved coming back every evening to the cosy space. We had a car and had free parking behind the house. The kitchen is not available for guests to cook meals, but they lent us cutlery and cups for us to occasionally make some instant soup/noodles for dinner. Breakfast was served very nicely and shared with the other guests. They were also accommodating for vegan diets with cheese, cold cut and milk alternatives. They offer a lot of activities as well for anyone who would like to partake.

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. Ylläs Ski Resort is 2.7 km away. It was absolutely amazing. Even better than we could imagine. Host, cottage, location are the best. We had the most magical time in Äkäslompolo. Thanks Simon for everything. We hope to visit there again soon. A big K Market supermarket, together with other shops, restaurants, lakes, forest trails just 5 min walking, Yllas ski resort 5 min drive, the cottage is so clean, warm, well equipped, cozy. We loved sauna and chimney. I highly recommend it. The owners are so friendly and nice. We had a really great experience.

Hotel Ylläshumina is beautifully situated by Lake Äkäslompolo, near the village of Äkäslompolo. Guests have access to the excellent Ylläs ski slopes and a variety of hiking trails through the peaceful Lappish wilderness. We are a mixed couple that traveled all the way from Turku, the cabin was very cozy and warm, close enough to the stores, gas station with a beautiful view towards the ski resort. The breakfast was exceptional!
