Windermere Rail Station is only 15 minutes’ walk away, and there is free parking on site. Fantastic attention from all staff. Nothing was too much trouble and really made the stay.

Helm Mount lodge and cottages are situated in the pretty hamlet of Barrows green 3 miles south of the old market town of Kendal, Cumbria.

These recently renovated beautiful barns have been tastefully decorated and comprise of 3 cottages which sleep 18 altogether (plus cots), there are 11 beds within 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms some are ensuite. In addition there is a very large sporting lodge with a pool table , big log burner and dining area for 18, perfect for small parties and family gatherings! Excellent location beautiful property

Each bedroom had a bathroom, parking attached to the property, close to town, TV in each room. Great view

The space was homey, inviting, and full of charm. With its three small stories, it has a unique layout—do be prepared for stairs—but that added to the cottage's cozy character. The location is also fantastic: conveniently close to the train station and within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and amenities in the charming town of Kendal. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the owners was excellent. They were very helpful and responsive, especially when we had a question about the door lock. Overall, a lovely place to stay in Kendal. Highly recommend!
