Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. An absolutely wonderful place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The breakfasts were varied each day and beautifully presented. The fact that the Ryokan is located at the start of the Zenkoji temple complex made it even better. It was only 3km from the train station so okay walking without bags. The advantage is because of its position you could walk just a few meters to pick up a taxi to the station which only cost 1200Y.

The lodge is modern, super comfy, and Akira along with the whole team were fantastic. Even though we visited at the end of the season and were the only guests, they made sure we had everything we needed. Every morning, they prepared breakfast just for us, and we absolutely looooved every dish. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Venue feels brand new and very clean. Location is close to town, shops, restaurants and the slopes.

The Nomad Inn Gujo nằm ở Gujo Hachiman, Gujo, cách Gero Station 46 km, Rensho-ji Temple chỉ vài bước chân và Joinji Temple 1 phút đi bộ. A wonderful stay at a classic Japanese house! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything about the home and the city of Gujo. He also gave us an excellent recommendation for a local izakaya, which was the perfect spot for dinner. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and personal experience!
