Everything was clean, lots of space for a family of 5.

Bike hire and car hire are available at the holiday home and the area is popular for fishing and hiking. Skiing and cycling can be enjoyed nearby, while a ski equipment rental service, ski-to-door access and a ski pass sales point are also available on-site. They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.

Guests at the ryokan will be able to enjoy activities in and around Takayama, like skiing. The Ryokan was superb. The hot springs were great, the food was excellent and the portions were enormous. The service was wonderful and friendly.

Spacious rooms, very tastefully decorated in a minimalistic style. The private onsen was blissful. Food was excellent (although a bit pricey). The hotel is 5 minutes from the bus station, with connections to the main cities and to the Kamikoche park. Overall, highly recommended.

Skiing is possible within the area and the ryokan offers ski storage space. This is the best ryokan we stayed considering their price range. Food is overflowing and their hospitality is unmatched! There is also a private onsen in the facility. They don't discriminate race or those with tattoos.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. The food and service were both amazing! Thank you so much. We had an amazing stay. One of the very few places we will come back to after 33 days in Japan

Nature and the mountains around the town was astonishing
