He gave us recommendations for our visit, and was extremely generous with giving us rides here and there as well as making sure we didn't have to carry our luggage around all day even though we weren't going to be staying at his guesthouse another night. It was clean and cute and the breakfast was DIVINE (there was no coffee, so BYO if you need)

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. This was one of the finest ryokans I’ve stayed at in Japan. The outdoor onsen was beautifully designed, making for a perfect winter soak. The room was exceptionally spacious compared to others in the area, with a well-placed private bathroom that offered both convenience and privacy. Additionally, parking was hassle-free, making it a great choice for those traveling by car.

The couple who runs this ryokan is lovely and their inn provides an authentic feel that allows you to appreciate the culture. Their private onsen was our favorite among the town's public onsens. Great experience. Great location. Great people!
