This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. The room was nice, extremely clean and with a great view of the mountains. I like that there was a coin/operated laundromat in the hotel. The location 200 m from Yamagata station is excellent.

Great value for a hostal style accommodation in a ski resort. The bunks are double size with warm blankets. The bath downstairs is a welcome retreat after skiing if you don’t fancy the 7 min walk to the local onsen. Well worth it. Check which one with Rio. The apartment has a hot tub and room service. A lot of space in the annex, private, had its own parking and staff provided exceptional service.

With ski-to-door access, the 3-star bed and breakfast has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. Staffs cant speak English. But they are very nice and friendly. They gave us a very good service. Breakfast is delicious!

The bath area is small, but you schedule your personal bath time. Food is incredible, a must try when visiting Zao. Location is near the main attractions, like the cable car is reachable by walking. Lots of nearby onsens.

The guest house has family rooms. Great location on mountain, food was really good, breakfast was different every day. Had dinner there as well it was nice. Rooms are small but expected.

The Onsen Station on the Zao Chuo Ropeway is located within a 6-minute walking distance from the property. Nishi Zao Kogen is a 25-minute drive away. Yamagata Zao Onsen Ski Resort can be accessed by ski lifts and aerial lifts that are located within a 5- to 10-minute walking distance from the property. Very nice, traditional experience! We were very surprised with the diversity of the breakfast. If you want to experience a proper Japanese breakfast, here is one place where you can do that very well. The onsen was very pleasant too, but you might need to get accustomed to the temperature. All in all we had a very pleasant stay here and we can definitely recommend! Thanks a lot :)

I'm really grateful for her help and concern. she also gave us ticket to the public onsen. 😍 thank you so much, we had a wonderful time.
