Throws you back to a family house you never had with all the nostalgia of how i imagine weekends away were as a child at grandparents or aunts. They really made you feel as if you were a part of their family and took time out of their day to show me around the area and drive me to many different areas all while having really nice conversations.

The staff were great and very informative about the location and transport options etc. An absolute must stay if you are near the area. The food was incredible for breakfast and dinner, very traditional and gorgeous meat. The private baths are the best we went in, the fact they are private is a massive plus. We had the best time here; thank you to all the staff! It is also really close to the bus station to get to the Kamikochi Valley.

From the carefully curated interior that was calm, comforting and beautiful, to the wonderful staff and the exceptional meal (dinner and breakfast), which included local specialties prepared with love and care, everything was curated and deliberately chosen. I loved taking a bath in the private onsen in my room, being able to open the sliding doors to the forest just outside the room, where I was completely immersed in nature. The staff took care of all my needs and i felt completely at ease and could reset myself completely. a lovely Yukatan completed the experience.

We had a good resting time in the very comfortable beds and enjoyed the bath and all the delicious food.
