We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were great and very informative about the location and transport options etc. An absolute must stay if you are near the area. The food was incredible for breakfast and dinner, very traditional and gorgeous meat. The private baths are the best we went in, the fact they are private is a massive plus. We had the best time here; thank you to all the staff! It is also really close to the bus station to get to the Kamikochi Valley.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. My stay was a thoroughly luxurious, relaxing experience. From the carefully curated interior that was calm, comforting and beautiful, to the wonderful staff and the exceptional meal (dinner and breakfast), which included local specialties prepared with love and care, everything was curated and deliberately chosen. I loved taking a bath in the private onsen in my room, being able to open the sliding doors to the forest just outside the room, where I was completely immersed in nature. The staff took care of all my needs and i felt completely at ease and could reset myself completely. a lovely Yukatan completed the experience.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The staff is so kind and the place is very serene. We had a good resting time in the very comfortable beds and enjoyed the bath and all the delicious food.

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. Very nice hotel with excelent staff
