Stryn Ski Centre is 30 minutes’ drive away. Free parking is available at Hjelle Hotel. I was staying in the Motel building, and everything was much better I expected. Nice room with everything needed, green grass with tables in front of the room and emerald lake just behind it. This place looks like heaven.

Communal facilities include a garden with playground and laundry facilities. Boats are available for rent on site. Staff can help arrange fishing, canoeing, skiing and other recreation.

Hiking and cross-country ski trails are found nearby, and a shop and gym are within 10 minutes’ walk. Unique. Every road trip through Norway is worth making a detour here. Breathtaking views, free boat and kayak rental. The host was incredibly kind and showed us everything we needed to know. Far away from the usual tourist crowds. Everyone fell in love with this small, peaceful place – a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression. Sadly we stayed only one Night. This was definitely not our last visit.

The house was perfect in every way—cozy, beautifully maintained, and with the most stunning views over the mountains and lake. Waking up to this scenery felt like a dream. The host Jarle was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Everything in Olden was close by, and we didn’t miss anything. The host was very helpful and caring, always guiding us. I highly recommend this place!

The cottage was well equipped, clean, and there was lots of space. We have a 3 week trip, and sometimes you want to eat your own choice of food. There was a supermarket nearby what was really nice.
