The property is non-smoking and is set 16 km from Taranaki Falls. Loved everything about this property! It was a beautiful home. So clean, comfortable and cosy. Location is great and so many beautiful views near.

The highest hotel in New Zealand, Skotel Alpine is 10 minutes’ drive from the Whakapapa Ski Fields. Tongariro Alpine Crossing is 20 minutes’ drive away. We stayed in a cabin and used the facilities for breakfast. The barista coffee at the lodge was very much appreciated. The restaurant and bar were perfect after long days of walking. Comfortable and welcoming and catered for everyone in our group.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. A daily, shuttle service is available hourly from 6:00 until 9:00 to the Tongariro Crossing & National park. Free parking is available. Loved everything about the property

The Ruapehu Park Hotel is at the foot of a large ski field and volcano at Mt Ruapehu. It is surrounded by two other famous mountains Ngauruhoe and Tongariro.

The natural setting around the Lodge is ideal for mountain biking, rafting, hiking, rock climbing, fishing or relaxing in thermal springs. We really loved the family rooms - they were warm despite the cold temperatures. The hot water systems (i.e. the showers) were excellent. Finding the hotel and accessing the car park was also very easy. The restaurant (the spiral) also served very high quality food. The cost of the rooms was outstanding value for money.

Situated within 16 km of Taranaki Falls and 22 km of Whakapapa in National Park, Tongariro Estate provides accommodation with seating area. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 16 km from Mount Ruapehu. The apartment features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi.

Guests at the apartment can enjoy skiing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. Easy to pick up keys - owner was also there to meet us and he could not have been more helpful.

Ski storage space is available on site and skiing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Great location. A good restaurant bar is just across the property and a convenient store is about 100m away. The location is also near trekking sites. Guest services are great! I highly recommend this motel.

The nearest airport is Taupo Airport, 78 km from Mountain Heights Lodge. We loved our stay - The room was spacious and it was great to sit on the deck on an evening. The breakfast options were plentiful and available to take at whatever time suited us on a morning. We especially loved using the hot tub after a long day's hiking.
