Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. Fantastic location, the room was very clean, had the best nights sleep of our holiday here, and the shower was AMAZING. My daughter left her beloved LambLamb behind, and as soon as we noticed, LambLamb was on the courier the very next day. 5 stars isn't high enough for this place. We will definitely be back.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. LOVED the outdoor bathtub, and the room was very comfortable with a king bed and fridge/bar area. Great outdoor living room with couch and small table. Good restaurant within walking distance, Would love to stay for much longer!
