Arthur's Pass Alpine Motel is located high in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, within Arthur’s Pass Village. Arthurs Pass Alpine Motel is a cosy little establishment with cosy cottages well suited for a nice stay. The hosts provide excellent information about the different hikes and sights in the area.

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Great location right above the city center, all the restaurants are within walking distance and even one of the wineries (the Maude winery) was right behind the corner, so we paid it a visit. The lady at the reception was very friendly and overall super helpful. The room was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the A/C was a great addition (apparently you can’t find it in every hotel in NZ). We only stayed for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer vacation. It it also very calm and I can imaging that it’s quite kids friendly.

Just 250 metres from Lake Wakatipu, Alexis Motel & Apartments features a large shared patio offering views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountains. I love the view. It was very spacious and very clean. The bed was big and comfy. It is in a great location.
