Location was on the outskirts of Queenstown, which made access by car so much easier. Grocery store, bus stop and services nearby. Loved dishwasher and laundry in the room. Big space, modern and comfortable. Parking tight, but available. Great coffee maker, heated floors, great bed and shower. We would definitely come back.

Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. History of the hotel, characteristic interior, garden and the excellent food. Feels like staying in the museum. Highly recommended!

Arthur's Pass Alpine Motel is located high in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, within Arthur’s Pass Village. Lovely little motel at the foot of the mountain, clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff very welcoming and lots of useful tips. Only 10 minutes walk to the village.

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Our room is large and clean. About a 10 minute walk to the town center. We had to change our itinerary because the road to Franz Josef was closed at Haast Pass due to slips and slumps. I was having trouble reaching our next hotel to let them know we would arrive a day late. Mark very kindly lent me his landline to use. Mark and Jacqui are wonderful hosts!
