Arthur's Pass Alpine Motel is located high in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, within Arthur’s Pass Village. Great spacious area walking distance to the village and the lady was really lovely, gave us recommendations and provided lots of DVDs

Stunning setting in the small village of Arthur's Pass with easy access to a multitude of trails right from the front door. The house was absolutely perfect: very comfortable furnishings, cozy feel, great amenities, and lovely views. The pictures really do not do it justice.

Easy self check in was appreciated when arriving late at night. The accommodation is well provisioned in terms of communal areas, i.e. kitchen, lounge, bathrooms. Our room was large, warm and even had a couple of couches. External access also a bonus.

Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside. A unique, 'out of the box' experience. The hotel is a living museum, with antique paraphernalia and curios everywhere. The furniture in the rooms is amazing. Feels like you have stepped back in time to the 1800s. Lester and Sam were excellent as hosts. Meals were great quality and value. The bar (available to in-house guests only) offered beer and wine at reasonable prices. There's not too much accommodation in the Otira / Arthur's Pass area with dining and bar facilities, so the Stagecoach Hotel fills a valuable niche.
