All the staff were outstanding in helping with our trip to this marvelous location in such a serene area of Portugal. My only regret is we did not arrange to stay in the hotel longer. Super help from our server for supper. John our server not only made our evening feel very special but he also made some wonderful suggestions for the rest of our trip including somewhere to find some cheese that we enjoyed with our supper. We both found the cod main course splendid. Your staff made this short stay for us feeling relaxed and ready to continue our journey.

Located near Serra da Estrela, this 250-year old manor house has historic furnishings and artistic accessories. Each themed room is a reminder of older way of life. We were not aware that Casa das Obras was a 250 year old manor house. It has been sympathetically renovated with beautiful rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. It has impressive reception areas, and multiple cosy rooms for relaxing. It was centrally heated and spotlessly clean. A magnificent buffet breakfast was included. For warmer weather it has a lovely garden with a swimming pool. The host was on site to greet us, and available throughout our stay for anything we required. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Magnificent view from the apartment. Continental breakfast is perfect and very fresh. The Serra da Estrella natural park provides lots of trekking paths. In the Vila apartment you can enjoy a beautiful view while drinking wine in a jacuzzi :D The trekking during July might be hard due to high temperatures and due to high grass bushes on the path.

It has a large bathroom and bedroom. A cosy livingroom, great wifi and a balcony with a view to the town. There are several supermarkets nearby. You can park your car in the street in front of the apartment, sometimes you have to search for a parking spot but we managed it every time. We didn't speak the owner, but it worked for us that we could enter the apartment with a code. The wifi was great.
