The view was amazing. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake. The infinity pool also had a fantastic view. The room was huge - we could have spent the day there. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, they waited until we were out of the room to clean, helped us with cycling trails and setting up their bikes, very attentive without being suffocating at meal times, reception and the bar.

The hotel was super clean and the apartment was new (I dont know about the rooms). Im sure there was no better place to spend or vacation at than this place. The staff was friendly the location is perfect.. walking distance from a cafe, pharmacy, playground, and a restaurant. the nature is breath taking. It’s just the perfect escape.

I am absolutely satisficed of this hotel staying. Excellent cuisine, welcome staff, spacious rooms with open stunning view on surrounding dales and forest hiking directly from hotel. Well spa facilities , pools. Location far from cities in rural paradise. We were relaxed and fully enjoyed.

We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom. Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free! There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea. We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!

The breakfast and all the meals at the hotel were truly excellent. I would encourage people to stay at this hotel for the food alone, but the staff were all courteous, effective and helpful. This is a fine example of a fine family owned hotel with excellent food. The location in a pretty village about 12 miles from downtown Freiburg was very good for walking and enjoying the open air life.
