Where to start? I loved absolutely everything about Hotel Catalonia. The lovely staff for starters, the spacious room with great views, the incredible pool area and the amazing breakfast! Special shoutout to Jenniffer from the spa too, who gave me one of the best massages I've ever had.

We had a Junior Executive Suite - wonderful, spacious, pure relaxation. Breakfast excellent with a huge choice of high quality, the setting in a beautiful park with old trees and endangered parrots sleeping there in the center of such a big town is unique. This hotel is a unique stay, as the former home / mansion of the first Spanish governor of the area. The building was expanded and now is run by a Dominican company on behalf of the government, which continues to own the facility. The whole site is very impressive, very historic, with all the charm that that conveys. One of the most unique properties I've ever stayed in and would absolutely stay there again. Walking distance to Parque Colon, nearby museums, shopping, the cathedral, as well as many restaurants, bars, etc. Excellent location.
