We stayed almost 2 weeks and had great time in the resort. Its a beautiful “city in small” with very helpful personnel, lovely apartments and superb food. We really relaxed and found quite some alternatives to the sea since it was pretty windy during our stay.

The beach and the sea are amazing, really outstanding. The beach areas are beautiful, lots of space and privacy, access to the sea is fantastic and the sea itself with its unique marine life is a paradise. The food is excellent, lots of different dishes that we loved, international or local, a really great food experience, breakfast, lunch and dinner were just delicious. Than you very much to all the staff, for the kindness granted to us 24/7 and for making us feel at home. We loved every single aspect of our stay. Everything was outstanding. Simply PERFECT. Hugely impressive all-inclusive resort, surrounding a large coral fringed inlet. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the buildings and the astonishingly verdant gardens (We were told an aquifer deep under ground supplies the water that allows the creation of this oasis in the desert). A lot of detailed care has gone into meeting guests needs, and there is a large and very friendly staff that ensures it. Rooms are spacious and clean, the all inclusive menu offers plenty of variety and options. Egyptian beer, wine and cocktails are included - though, being a Muslim country, these, I suspect, are pretty low in alcohol. Maybe there’s a plus to that - no late night lairiness. We didn’t use the pools, though they looked great, as we spent most of our time on the beach, spending a lot of the day snorkelling the healthy, teeming with life, coral. It’s a large complex, but the Brits don’t seem to have discovered it yet, largely because, unlike other European countries, there are no direct flights from the UK to Marsa Alam. Certainly worth making the effort.

The property is very diverse and people spread nicely so it’s never to crowded in one place. There is an aquapark, several pools (adults-only, relax pools, animated pools), the beautiful beach. Also the greenery is meticulously kept in place.

Thanks a lot for every one that makes our holiday very nice. Starting from Mr. Mina Mamdouh, Mr. Ahmed Barakat, Sayed Nageh in Reception as they are too friendly, hospitalizing us, taking care of all details espesially for my old mother and respond spontenously and positively to all requests. Also the room is too big and well furnatured as well house keeping is active. Mr. Omar and Mohammed Gad from golf car and shuttle bus really appreciate thier efforts and smily faces all the time. Beach is clean and too long and zupport a lot of activities. Food is tasty in resturants as well you get a good varities of oriantal and weastern food. Animation is very good as well creative. Fully recommend Portfino and will repeat my visit soon.
