The wonderfully helpful staff and excellent location.

We were met at the property by Miguel and Lourdes who were very welcoming and friendly. They spoke very little English and we spoke very little Spanish, but thanks to Google Translate we had no problem with communication. The property is lovely and in a rural setting with fabulous views, and very peaceful. Only a 5 minute drive from Montefrio. The property was very well equipped, plenty of everything, and had it's own utility room. Outside was a lovely separate barbeque area, shower and toilet. The pool was lovely and there were 3 terraces to choose from, all with lovely views. We used Montefrio as a base to tour Andalusia so we travelled a lot, but always looked forward to getting back to the villa to just relax in the evenings. We didn't get to say goodbye to Miguel and Lourdes as we had an early flight home, but would like to take this opportunity to thank them. We would highly recommend this property to everyone.

Very well equipped house and extremely clean. The jacuzzi is lovely and hot and the seating areas are all comfortable with fabulous views of a beautiful area. A very special property that we would love to return to.

This place is a quintessence of peace and harmony. Designed with attention to every detail Finca las Calmas is a unique hotel (or shall I say retreat) on the Andalusian map. Right from the arrival you feel like you are visiting old friends. Anne Marie and Gerard will make you feel the most important and welcomed person in the world. The rooms, dining area and surroundings creatively combine modern architectural style with Balinese Spa. Its Remarkably quiet due to its location in the middle of Olive Oil Orchards but since it’s placed on top of a hill you get to enjoy endless views up to Sierra Nevada snow-capped peaks (I was visiting in Oktober). Very intimate as well as the hosts make sure no more than 3 rooms are occupied at the same time. If you like a type of cuisine where tradition meets modern flair your taste buds are in for a treat! Gerard’s cooking is truly amazing. No need to leave this place for fancy Grenada restaurants - you have the top chef culinary experience on the spot with meals freshly made from local ingredients. He will include all your food intolerances and personal preferences too! I was swept off my feet. I truly recommend this place for anyone searching for great company, amazing food and peaceful sleep and rest.
