Just about everything, it was simply paradise. We had a Garden Suite - Cacao 2 which was a piece of heaven! So intimate, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation…the most romantic hotel room I have ever been to. The entrance to the room is made of 10 or so steps followed by walking on a bridge amidst the tropical garden. Also the views of the Cacao 2 were fabulous… Very few insects overall, less than expected for sure. We had a problem with the toilet water and they immediately fixed it. The staff is so friendly and warm. From the ones in tbe lobby, restaurants to the one at the Spa and the ones doing the activities on site. The MMP experience programme is beautifully designed. We managed to do the coffee plantation and cupping tour which was so intersting and delightful. Then the sustainability tour which is proof to the Balinese sense of community and respect for nature. Breakfast was incredibly delicious and the afternoon complimentary tea was excellent. We had a special Balinese music and dance performance by the local kids. So much talent and beauty it’s hard to put into words. From every small detail, little gift, big smile to the architecture and design of the resort, the infinity pools and jacuzzi, Munduk Moding Plantation is a piece of heaven on Earth.

We stayed in a villa called Yudhistira (closest to the pool). From the first time we entered the property to checkout 4 days later we were welcomed and experienced high level og service. We went to two trips from here arranged by the hotel, which we can recommend others. The first was trekking locally in the area to see waterfalls, plantations, villages and rice terasses - our guide Kadek was really great with a lot of knowledge about the plantations, culture in Bali and Hindu religion, we learned so much during the trekking. The second trip was to Aling-aling waterfalls, Lovina beach and to hot springs, we got a really nice driver in a great new car. The rooms and place has everything needed, comfortable bed, infinity pool, good restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner, awesome view from balkony over rice terasses and living room with kitchen if needed, shower was nice and clean toilet. We would highly recommend anyone else staying here if need to get a bit out of the traffic in Ubud and Denpasar.

Could not fault this place, a real find, we were so happy when we arrived here and looked around. We used the hotel transport to get here from Sanur, a good idea, as the Bintang Munduk is fairly isolated. Ery was a great driver and guide. Wonderful views over the lush mountains and forests. We took the local walk to the waterfalls nearby, well worth doing as they are beautiful. The hotel staff are superb, such a great team, they made our stay. Lovely room, open air bathroom, full of character. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and dinner options and the infinity pool is lovely. Thanks to Gus and the team, you guys are fantastic.

We had a lovely stay and Doni is a great host. He was very generous in both sharing his time, and sharing local knowledge. The cottage is very cute and sits at the end of a beautiful ricefield. We highly recommend a stay here!

Looking for a genuine warmth Balinese welcome? This is the place to be! The staff are incredibly kind and dedicated. They make you feel at home with a genuine smile at all times. I'm used to traveling and I must say I've never experienced such a welcome. Special mention for Godeh (sorry if i spell it wrong), the manager who set the bar to the next level! I love the fact that breakfast is freshly made every morning with fresh products (the strawberry jam, and the crepes: wow!). Thanks for arranging the dolphins spot tour, what a memorable moment! We were lucky enough to even spot a Mola Mola that morning!

The place exceeded all our expectations! It is a fantastic and secluded location with views over local rice fields on both sides and mountains in the background. There are even some beautiful sunsets. The cabin is also almost new, and everything worked flawlessly. It was wonderful to have both an outdoor shower and an indoor bathroom. The host Ripa really deserves praise. He did everything to make us feel welcome and helped with renting a scooter, finding exciting places to visit in the area, and even the possibility of getting a massage almost right next to the cabin. You really get value for your money here, and we could easily have stayed longer than 5 nights. Both the cabin, the view, and the area are incredibly beautiful with few tourists, allowing you to get close to the local life. We hope to return another time. Thank you for the stay and an unforgettable experience!

We loved everything about our stay at Padiuma Cabins - who knew there were such hidden self-retreat gems in central Bali! The architecture and sweeping views of the rice paddies and surrounding hills kept us constantly connected to nature. We watched both sunrises and sunsets from our cabin, a daily dose of calm and beauty. All our special requests and needs were seen to and were were surprised by a special afternoon tea every day. The fruit platters at breakfast and after meals were a true delight! Even though the Cabins offer a limited breakfast menu, the team happily prepared a simple oat dish for us, thoughtfully topped with granola and banana. Being so well looked after means we could truly rest and relax. We will definitely be back!
