When you are in this area, this little piece of heaven will not disappoint!! I received such a warm & friendly welcome. The accommodation was delightful, the food delicious. I wish I'd booked 2 nights! Truly delightful spot. An unexpected oasis in a charming village. And.... one of the highlights was that Friendly Homestay has a very well run spa on the property. Perfect place to spoil yourself after a long day of traveling. [Thank you for making my stay so wondeful!]

We had an unforgettable stay in this truly unique location, nestled in the heart of Bali’s most stunning natural surroundings. The accommodation is small and wonderfully peaceful, with beautifully crafted bamboo-style rooms that offer both charm and comfort. The pool is a lovely spot to relax, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere. What really sets this place apart, however, is the incredibly warm and attentive staff. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. A particularly touching gesture was when one of the staff members drove all the way back home to fetch traditional clothing for us, so we could attend a Hindu ceremony at a nearby family temple—an experience we’ll never forget. They are also an invaluable source of local knowledge, able to connect you with the very best guides if you’re interested in learning about Balinese customs and history, or if you simply want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sekumpul. The area is breathtaking, with terraced rice fields, lush, aromatic vegetation filled with herbs and fruits, and of course, the magnificent waterfalls that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly—it’s a hidden gem and a perfect retreat for those seeking a genuine and enriching Bali experience.

By far our best experience in Bali! We feel nourished physically and emotionally by our stay there. As soon as we arrived and Dekha met us on his scooter at the end of the lane we felt so welcomed by his genuine warmth and smile, that continued throughout our stay from both him and Suny. The homestay is quiet, the nature stunning and it feels like paradise after the busy south. The food Suny made for us was exceptional - every meal was freshly made with ingredients picked from the garden - the fruit from the trees was so delicious too. Worth coming here even just for the food 😉 but also Dekha took us on a one day tour we will always remember - a tour to hike to the magical waterfalls (the hidden one was the best for us!) whilst also meeting local people, visiting a farm, learning about Lontar and seeing stunning views. And whilst we were in awe of our surroundings he also took great photos for us! The natural rock formed water slide was fun too ☺️ We were touched how deeply Dekha cares about the environment and his village. We loved our stay, it’s true what they say, you arrive as strangers and leave as friends! We highly highly recommend this stay, you will not regret it! ☺️

The staff was amazing. They did everything to let me have the best time possible. Even during the silent day of Nyepi his mom prepared a beautiful breakfast for me. I loved the banana pancakes with fruit and bali coffee. So good 🙏 And I wanted space and quiet and I allowed myself to have the family villa for myself to have space for yoga and workout. I loved going to the ocean daily a couple of times. I had ocean view, lots of light, space and a beautiful outside bathroom and outside living room. I can highly recommend this place 🙏
