This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

Discovering Matera is discovering human history and since the moment we stepped in Moyseion our historical journey became reality. The concept of Moyseion, unique in its genre, was an experience, starting with the welcome at check/in surrounded by mosaics, the perfumes of ancient essences and spices. We were enchanted by the storytelling of the in/house archeologist who explained us the decor and the meaning of each design piece in the bacheca collection. The room in a minimal design allowed us to fully feel in a time capsule, but with the comforts of the 21 century. The Pool experience is something unforgettable as the breakfast with music and performances while tasting a unique and well studied menu. We loved every second of our time in Moyseion and we want to thank the staff for their welcoming and attention.

Amazing stay at Matera. Room was very clean, bed super comfortable. Location good. Giuseppe & Tiziana were perfect hosts. Giuseppe tells a lot of Materas history and I was able to visit the watertank, which was located under the house. They also give me a map and list of places where to visit in Matera. That helps a lot to navigate in the sassi area. So thankful about that and everything else.
