Absolutely amazing hotel – 10/10! We stayed for a week and were beyond impressed. The hotel is stunning, the staff is incredibly kind and truly attentive, and the food is outstanding. We ended up eating on-site several times because it was just that good. The entire property has everything you need for a perfect stay. I saw some negative reviews before coming, but honestly, we didn’t experience anything like that – everything exceeded our expectations. A special highlight: my girlfriend had her birthday during our stay, and the staff made it unforgettable. They surprised her with a homemade cake at breakfast (brought out with music by the kitchen team!), and later, the room was beautifully decorated with balloons, towel art, and more. It was truly touching. Can’t recommend this place enough – we would definitely come back!

This place is run by a family. They were really kind and helpful with everything. We came late for checkout but still they let us use the room and the bathroom. Really kind people. We liked everything. Very close to the sea. Walking distance from coconut hill. One of our best stays.

Can’t fault this place at all. A wonderful hotel run by 2 really nice guys. Unbelievably clean, new AC units, great bed and showers in the perfect location opposite Cargills. Only stayed 4 nights but definitely suitable for a long stay with lounge areas and kitchens shared between 4 rooms.

Thusara guest house is above all a beautiful place, at the end of a small corner of paradise. The room I occupied is a typical beach vacation room. There is space, it feels good! The bathroom, very large, hot water at will, inside the room, good bedding, silent air conditioning, on top, fan. And icing on the cake, a wifi, fast! :.) Here, it is above all a place where you like to come back and find a friend, with whom to share your day or more intimately, your life. Thusara, smiling, happy, jovial, always ready to help and advise the best corners. It is a pleasure to have met his wife, his children. The room is located 1 mn from the beach... a short way down... nearby, restaurants, bars... far enough away not to be disturbed at night. At your disposal, a small kitchen, fridge, electric kettle... the breakfasts are extra!! For experienced surfers, Mirissa beach and not far, Matara.. for beginners, 5 minutes by scooter, Weligama beach (turning point school was great). The top of the top... and even Muy Thai lessons nearby (ask at the restaurant on the beach run by a Frenchman). I advise, of course, Go for it!

The staff was wonderfull. We got an upgrade by arriving, had a beautifull room with a amazing view. The food was very good. Location in the centre. The staff made our stay perfect, thank you very much.

The couple that owns the accommodation is really sweet and helpfull. When my wife had a medical emergency they drove us to the hospital. The rooms are cleaned every day. Location was good. Close to some restaurants and less then 10 minutes to the beach.

Lantern is located along the white sandy beachfront and turquoise waters of Mirissa South. It features an outdoor pool, free WiFi access and complimentary parking.

Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. We really loved the beach in front of the hotel. The lovely food and kind staff made this stay perfect.

we had an amazing stay at the property. The place is amazing. pictures online don’t do justice to how beautiful the property is. it’s very close to centre, just a few minutes walk. Phil and his wife are amazing hosts, they both go out of their way to take care of their guests.
