Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.

Absolutely incredible property with the most lovely staff! The staff helped us with anything we needed and were so kind to us and our baby. We stayed in a villa that was separate to the main house which was perfect for our little family. Oh and the food that the manager made was the best food we had in Sri Lanka! Have the chicken curry for dinner!

The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

Service: Extremely good service & super nice staffs, they are all very nice and very helpful, always go extra mile to make the guest happy. When they see all the sunchair is occupied or is full, they bring new ones. They are all try their best to make sure the customers who stayed here happy. Environment: Super view, beautiful pool, nice design yoga room and library, all made with quality. They care about the maintenance. Food: Nice food and reasonably price. Breakfast with a lot of choice, with good quality food. They always invite you to have dinner in the lake jetty area, which is super nice during the sunset time. They do this extra for free, they are happy to make their customer happy. Clean: Super clean everywhere, you can feel staff are taking care of the place and rooms, common area, and pool. Overall experience: The best hotel in our whole trip of our 20 days in Srilanka, value for its price, You will enjoy staying there, and don’t want to leave. It is the most peaceful hotel I ever stayed.

Everything was amazing!! Best place to relax!!

Amazing peaceful location facing the bay of Galle within easy reaching of Unawatuna or Galle but none of their noises. Agnus Hotel is also close to the jungle beach. Hotel is modern and beautifully designed. Rooms are nicely furnished and bed was comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast was nice and espresso was delicious. We would definitely return to the Agnus Hotel if we come back in the area. The rooftop terrace with the bar and infinity pool is perfect to enjoy the sunset.

Outstanding 5-star experience! The pool was absolutely amazing, and the views from our room were breathtaking. Everything was luxurious and perfectly maintained—highly recommended for a memorable stay.

We loved beautiful premises. Our villa was surrounded by monkeys and lizards with different birds flying around. We were very happy to choose such a nice and quiet place far-away from busy streets. Breakfast was made especially for us every morning at convenient time. Swimming pool was ideal for taking prettiest photos in it. The distance from the villa to the main beach was about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk which we ordered through pick-me application. It was much cheaper when getting on a street. We loved the villa so much, that we booked it for our next stay already.

All in all we had a wonderful stay. The green surrounding and pure nature, the super friendly staff, the food and the private lodges with very nice bath and room. We will definitely come back!

What a gem of a place to stay. From the moment we arrived Kumudu and team couldn’t do enough for us. A taxi transfer from Colombo airport to Galle was easily pre arranged and meeting the driver was slick. We stayed in a superior deluxe room with jungle view for 4 nights. Facilities great and outdoor shower lovely. There was the added personal touch of having breakfast every morning served on your own terrace. Lush planting made for secluded spaces and good to have a pool too. Although the location is slightly out of the fort it’s easily accessible using a tuk-tuk and it’s only about 40-50 minutes walk if you’re feeling energetic. Special mention needs to go to Eran, the Olive’s on site tuk-tuk driver. It was so easy and reassuring to be able to message and he’d be there to pick up/drop off within minutes. It’s also possible for him to take you further afield. We did a round trip to Koggala lake, a turtle sanctuary, tea plantation and saw stilt fishermen. An absolutely wonderful introduction to Sri Lankan hospitality and we can’t wait to return.
