This hotel is an absolute gem in Sri Lanka. We've visited several places, and this is our favorite. It's beautifully located, allowing you to walk for miles along the beach without encountering anyone. The beach is pristine, free of litter, unlike some other places in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The service is excellent, and the restaurant offers a delicious and diverse menu. There are plenty of excursion options nearby, with stunning wetlands and lagoons perfect for bird watching. This wonderful place has been crafted with great care. Interestingly, it is also very affordable compared to other hotels. It's definitely worth traveling a bit further to enjoy this exceptional and beautiful spot. An absolute must-visit. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Cosy place with very friendly staff; Sapun the restaurant waiter literally made our mornings with his smile. Food was delicious and the spa massage was outstanding! If you want a chilled and private holiday, this is the place to go to! Thank you Good Karma! 🫶

I think this might be the best place I've stayed at in my travels, atleast in this price range. Staf are great, facilities excellent, garden pretty, location is out of the way but there is easy access by bike or tuktuk, pool is gorgeous and food is amazing (so no real need to go anywhere else). I really can't fault the place. Was sad to leave and would gladly come back. Highly recommended!

Everything was super, location is quiet, not to much tourist or overcrowd. The reception guy who meet us was super helpfull. Arenge as a lot off things like scooter and breakfast sandwich early in the morning before we leave to safari.

The owner and his family were very kind. The food is delicious and the location is amazing, you should be in for an adventure if you like it. The cabana is simple but the location makes up for everything, the place is owned by the family and they treated our very kind even decorated my room beautifully for my birthday. I would recommend this to any family, couple or solo backpackers that likes some adventures.

    The bedrooms were so spacious and absolutely spotless. The massage we got was very good and OK value. The hotel being on the beach was lovely and relaxing. The local Sri Lankan staff were lovely, especially the young girl who worked on reception.

    Quiet place close to Tangalle beach and to bus station. Room is spacious and fully functional (big, comfy bed, aircon, hot water…), friendly staff, small garden to relax and get breakfast… far enough to feel comfortable. Some good restaurants within short walking distance.

    My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Lankavatara and would definitely come back. The beach is stunning, the staff is really friendly and the hotel is very nice. Breakfast options and the food at the restaurant is great! The team at Lankavatara helped to organise our trip to Udawalawe and that went really well, and wife loved her massage at the spa. Can't recommend Lankavatara enough!

    Pure Paradise! Very cute hotel right at a beautiful and lonely beach where you will just encounter a few others on your beach walk, which makes it the perfect place to relax! The room and bathroom are very clean and spacious. Staff is extremely friendly, and I can highly recommend the great treatments in the wellness center. Even though they are a bit pricey, it was one of the best massages I ever had. We had a beautiful candle light dinner at the beach the last night!
