The hotel in Jardim do Mar has apartments with fully equipped kitchens, more suitable for couples or families for 2 or more nights. The room I have is huge with two large beds, a large bathroom and of course the kitchen. The lady at reception is very helpful and friendly and there is also a dinner buffet (excluding drinks) for 20 euros, with a choice of chicken, meat and fish, plus salads and desserts. The location is perfect for those who like to hike. The place seems to have been around for a while, as you can see from the 80s? 90's? deco. There is a cottage-style common room with sofas and a small library. The beautiful footpath PR Vereda Prazeres to Paul do Mar (700m, 1.80km) is right on the hotel grounds and is a great way to visit the small fishing village of Paul do Mar. Unfortunately, the weather was at its worst when I was there, but of the few hours of sunshine I did get, the view from the balcony was simply stunning.

It is a nice place specially if you are traveling with kids. The all inclusive buffet is delicious and very convenient. There is a sandy beach right in front of the hotel and little concerts and entertainment in the evenings. All this to say that they are really trying to please their guests.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse.

Super location, high on a cliff overlooking the town and ocean. An easy walk through the town and to the waterfront. The meals were excellent. For breakfast you can have the buffet or order cooked items from a menu, or both. The dinner menu is outstanding with a wide range of options for fish, meat, and vegetarian, and everything we had was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small balcony with a view overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the firm pillows we requested were perfect.

This small hotel in the west of Madeira offers a restaurant, a bar and panoramic views of the ocean. It is 100 metres from the beach and close to the village of Calheta.

everything was great! we loved the view from the balcony, the lovely staff family as well as the delicious food in the hotel restaurant for a fair price!

Everything was outstanding. The lunch and dinner menu and also the breakfast was very good quality and with a wide range of options, I know it's a bit silly but really liked the rösti and the fresh maracuyá. The welcome details with the drinks. The quality of the pillows and mattress, even the towels were thick and soft. Above that I have to say the personal form the hotel is super educated and professional from cleaners, reception and the restaurant staff, I was only there for the weekend but its was a very nice experience all together. Will repeat next time I go to Madeira.

Everything! One of the best hotels we stayed in before. Loved being so close to the sea with incredible views from the balcony. The hotel adds some nice touches with pool access, restaurant discount, etc.

Amazing property with so much to discover in each corner. So much love goes into the details here and it’s the perfect getaway on the south coast. It’s close to Funchal and close to the highway up north of west. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful! The pool, the sauna and also our room were super clean. We also loved the modern style of the room and the bathroom!
