Everything was amazing, the decor, ambience, beach and pool areas were really good. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. All of the staff was great, from check in until check out, they were super helpful and really took care of us. Henry at the restaurant looked after us making sure everything was great. The food was also very tasty. We also had booked a sunset yoga at the beach and it was just a perfect end of the day, the instructor rain was amazing really attentive and great a directing us. Gen was also lovely taking great pictures of us during our yoga session and helping with a smooth check out. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway.

We found Mai Samui to be extremely luxurious. Some reviews mention that parts of the hotel feel a bit outdated, but we really didn’t see it that way. The materials used — solid hardwood, metal, stone — are beautiful and give the place a natural, high-quality feel. The layout is peaceful and the lighting is very atmospheric. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Our daughter even got a little apple juice from the pool bar, which made her day. The beds were super comfortable, and we were really able to relax here. It’s true that the sea is too shallow to swim, but the pools are fantastic. Some reviews mention concerns about pool hygiene, but we constantly saw at least two staff members working to keep everything clean. Don’t forget this hotel is located in a forested area and the pools are surrounded by trees. Naturally, some leaves fall into the water. That’s part of the setting. The staff, especially Coco, deserve a big compliment. Very service-minded and attentive. The breakfast was fantastic! We would absolutely recommend Mai Samui for a peaceful and luxurious stay.
