It was an amazing experience at Royal Manderin, which is located in a very central location in the middle of Zanzibar, not very far from all the tourist visiting sites. As soon as we reached we were greeted by 2 staff members with fresh juices and cold Lemon towel which lightened our mood. The guest Relationship manager Ms. Siara greeted us with a warm smile and was helpful throughout our stay, helping us plan all our activities according to our scedule and always kept a smile for us. The manager Mr Emmanuel was also extremely helpful, friendly and hardworking and then lastly Mr Ahmed from the cabana massage parlour gave us the best beachfront massage we have ever had. All in all, it is a resort that you all must visit.

I had a wonderful time at Marijani from my first day to the last. The staff is really friendly, always smiling, very attentive to my needs and with a big heart. Some of them even became my friends. Their service is high class. The food is delicious, the rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. There was also music every dinner. The swimming pool is great with a view on the beach that you can access in 30 seconds. They also offered me a late checkout so that I could fully enjoy my last day. They also climb up a palm tree to pick up coconuts for me. Thank you to Aditya, the chef, Levina, Lucy, Ahmed, Abdul, Evelyne, and all the others for these holidays. I will never forget them! Cons: - Clean rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily for our 10 days stay. - Beach front. You literally just walk out from the resort to the beach. And the beach is not congested. It’s very clean and suitable for romantic picnics, relaxing or water activities. - Food. Nice and tasty food. Though breakfast options were limited with the buffet breakfast. - Swimming pool: It’s one of the few places having swimming pool and a spa in the area. This kept our kids busy as we were traveling with kids. - Volleyball available just at the property with nets and balls. This was fun. - Stuff. Very kind and helpful - Driver. The driver, Mr Alex made our stay worthwhile. He suggested beautiful attractions and took us to different places for all our stay there. - The host was also friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay, we should have stayed longer!! The hotel ambience is fantastic as well as the staff that is always smiling and very helpful the food is very tasty, there are fish, meat, pasta sweets, tropical fruit, fresh fruit juices… wow! The beach is paradisiac, it seems a dream and it’ very relaxing. What we appreciated more than everything was our bungalow with sea view… a stunning view! The room was very clean and there’s everything you need. We will definitely come back, asante sana!

We arrived quite late but we were welcomed warmly. The staff were very helpful and even offered to open the kitchen so late at night. The manager Michael was very helpful and also knowledgeable. His hospitality and and his staff were much appreciated. We highly recommend this resort and will definitely be coming back. The view is breathtaking and so beautiful.

This is my first 10 given on Booking.com, but this vacation definitely deserves it. Vacation means people, location and resort all together. Malgo, Tomek and their full Dream Team is the first key component of the amazing days we spent there: saying that we felt truly at home would for sure not be an overstatement. I believe there is no need to add anything more about this. Location of the resort is excellent: right on the beach, a clean beach by the way (a plus for them, given what we have seen elsewhere). We enjoyed a lot the walks to the reef during low tide, celebrated with final unusual urchins meals: nice swimmings during high tide. Mnemba island, with some of the best snorkeling sites in Zanzibar, is just 30-40 minutes away. Finally, the resort: right size (not more than 20 rooms), nicely organized, simple but elegant architecture, sea view from all rooms, very nice 25 m swimming pool in the center (with separate lane for whoever wants to swim), massage facilities... and more. Our room was very spacious, pleasant, relaxing: and always extremely clean. Ask for Paradise Room if you go there :-) Restaurant is also a plus for this place, with possibility to eat at any time during the day: food was very good, mostly local (as it should be) but also with international cuisine options, great variety which allows to try different foods for the entire week.

We re-located to this hotel from another in the area as we were looking for a more private / luxurious experience for our honeymoon. Given the recent age of the hotel and lack of review online we were admittedly a bit hesitant but were immediately put at ease upon arrival, where we were warmly greeted, had our feet washed / massaged and were introduced to our personal butler ! The service is simply unparalleled, the level of care and attention to detail is unlike anything we had previously experienced. The limited number of rooms certainly helps with this as often times it felt like there was more staff than guests. The room was immaculate, modern and spacious (we booked the deluxe room). There is also a WiFi extender inside the room providing the fastest internet we encountered on the trip. The food was top notch, with plenty of variety each day from an a la carte menu. There is also a tepynaki restaurant available for an additional fee.

Haber Hotel is a fantastic place! Small family hotel located in Matemwe, it offers comfort and quiet atmosphere for a relaxing holiday. I would recommend it to all those who want to avoid the big crowded noisy touristic hotels on the coast but in the same time want to stay close to beautiful beaches (nearby you can find Muyuni beach and Matemwe beach). The owners, Kris and Kasha, are great and would do everything to make the stay of the guests unforgettable. The staff is very kind and the whole dynamic of this property is tailored to fit the needs and comfort of the guests. Breakfast is fabulous, served from 8am till noon, for those who like to sleep in late, and for lunch and dinner we could chose delicious options from a rich menu or even off menu. Pets are welcome (the hotel is actually named after Haber, the owners' cute Cocker Spaniel). At any time of our stay we felt welcome, safe, well taken care of and even spoiled.
