Viet, the hotel receptionist, arranged a 2 days 1 night trekking trip for our group with a guide. He gave us a lot of helpful advice. The guide was cheerful and spoke fluent English. He shared many stories about the local people and the culture here. I was quite tired but very happy.

Amazing hotel! Huge, incredibly comfy bed with a great view of the mountains. Breakfast was fab (buffet and order to preference) and the staff were lovely - let me leave luggage while I went trekking and have a shower afterwards before my train in the evening. A 10 minute walk to town which meant it was much quieter than the hustle and bustle of the town centre and great for getting onto hiking trails. Highly recommend
