This is now my go-to hotel for whenever business or leisure travel takes me through this part of the world. Fabulously friendly and attentive staff, a super cafe (popular with locals as well as guests: you're going to need to book if you want to have Sunday brunch there...), and very comfy beds with the most comfortable pillows I've ever slept on in a Swiss or German hotel. HIGHLY recommended and worth the price.

Enjoying a quiet location in the heart of Basel, the Radisson Blu Basel Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the central train station and features a great indoor pool. It's great hotel near train station and the city center. Very convenient to get around. Rooms are nicely decorated and modern. Spa center is nice but the pool could be a bit warmer. Since it was very cold outside a bit warmer water would be nice to relax after sightseeing. Breakfast was very nice as well. Nothing spectacular, but decent variety and well prepared.
