The variety and quality of the food surpassed my expectations. From healthy options to indulgent delights, the breakfast was a feast that provided the perfect energy to start the day exploring Engelberg. In summary, my stay at this hotel was great in every aspect. The combination of exceptionally friendly staff, high-quality facilities, and a delicious breakfast created an unforgettable experience. This elegant hotel is located only a 15-minute drive from Lucerne and a 2-minute walk from the train station. It offers modern wellness facilities, free parking and a large terrace. Central location. Beautiful looking hotel with modern decor. Friendly staff. The sauna area was an added treat. We had the place to ourselves. The mountain views surrounding the whole town were picturesque. Lovely outdoor terrace for dinner & drinks. Cute town, great base for us (we had a car) to spend the day doing Grindelwald/interlaken (1 hr drive) without having to pay the hugely expensive prices of those towns. And also mount Pilatus which was only 25min. I would recommend this hotel for sure

The Alpenclub hotel in Engelberg offers you charming Alpine-style rooms combined with up-to-date facilities as well as tasty Swiss food. Everything about our stay was magical! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The hotel is so beautiful, it felt like a real swiss alpine experience with the wooden interiors and beautiful carpets. The location is beautiful and the food was exceptional. We absolutely loved our stay! It was pure quality. So much better than most of the 5-star modern hotels we usually pick. This had so much character and charm and felt so quality. The breakfast was 10/10 and the restaurant food was once of the best meals weve ever had! I highly recommend!
