Much much better than any Sofitel I've ever stayed in. Staff were attentive, polite, and always going out of their way to help. Incredible value. Relatively close to major attractions in the city.

I liked the style of the hotel and the decoration of the common spaces which included artwork and sculptures linked to the history of the city. It felt very “culturally immersive”. Breakfast was my favorite part, personally I’ve never seen such variety of dishes in a hotel breakfast buffet.

Featuring Silk Road elements in its design, Grand Hyatt Xi'an provides guest rooms outfitted with cosy furnishings and modern decoration. The Grand Hyatt, the name alone promised grandeur, and it delivered in every way. Stepping into the foyer felt like entering a modern palace. Golden wooden beams rose elegantly toward floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the space with light. The design balanced traditional Chinese motifs with a hint of contemporary flair. Our suite carried the same sense of indulgence. Spacious and serene, it came with a powder room, a rain shower room, and yet another bathroom featuring a bathtub so deep it felt more like a private onsen. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the Xi’an skyline, and the room itself exuded calm luxury. That evening, we dined at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. Every dish felt like a celebration. The abalone was delicate and rich, the fiery Sichuan-style beef casserole set our taste buds dancing, and the dim sum—bite-sized parcels of flavour—were a revelation. By the time I ended the night with a spa treatment, I felt blissfully pampered, refreshed, and ready for the final chapter of our holiday. I would recommend the Grand Hyatt to all my friends and family ❤️

Shangri-La Hotel Xi'an located in the prestigious financial and shopping mall center in Xian. The property is a 5-minute walk to shopping streets. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel was clean. Nothing to complain about.
