The location could not be any better. You walk out of the hotel and step into Xitiandi where you can find many great stores and restaurantes. One block away you can get to the subway, and you can reach anywhere in Shanghai from there.

Set next to the Huangpu River, The New Bund International Business District, as known as the “Golden Boot,” offers everything you’d expect from a modern urban setting, from first-class office buildings to luxury shopping centers to verdant riverside parks perfect for recreation and relaxation. Blending culture and nature, it is now home to Shangri-La Qiantan, Shanghai. The location is very convenient and can order take-away. The inner decoration is exceptional and the room is very baby friendly. Staff are really nice and kind.

Set in Shanghai and within 400 metres of Jin Mao Tower, J Hotel, Shanghai Tower - Above All Else, Overlooking the Bund features a bar, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a fitness centre, as well as an indoor pool and a sauna. The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. I stayed in the J hotel for three nights. It was an amazing experience. It exceeds my expectations for a hotel in all aspects. I strongly believe that whoever travels to Shanghai, as long as financially capable, staying in this hotel is a must. Otherwise, the trip to Shanghai would not be considered complete, and you will regret it.

At The Sukhothai Shanghai, every room is equipped with a seating area. Amazing hotel in fantastic location. Staff were amazing. Room was so modern and well designed. We had to change our booking from 2 to 1 night and that was not a problem.

With the Art Deco-inspired interiors, the hotel integrates architecture of different cultures and classical arts of Shanghai. Ranging from 45 square metres to 288 square metres, all these 192 luxurious rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Certain units include a seating area to relax after a busy day. Guests can enjoy a cup of tea while looking out at the river or garden. Extras include slippers and free toiletries. The sophisticated design seamlessly integrates with breathtaking views of The Bund, Huangpu River, Pudong skyline and Yu Garden. Everything was excellent—a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and stunning views. The staff was very polite and accommodating.

Guests can enjoy a soothing massage at the spa, or do exercise in the fitness centre. There is a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk at Mandarin Oriental Pudong, where car hire, ticketing service, currency exchange and luggage storage are available. The hotel also provides a cash machine, a business centre and laundry service. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The facilities were very clean, staff so professional and respectful. I loved the breakfast as it has variety of dishes you can choose from. The price was absolutely great compared to other 5-star hotels. Mandarin Oriental would be my destination if I’m ever returning to Shanghai, which most likely I would.
