I received a warm and friendly welcome, a very relaxing massage and a celestial time alone in the Therma. Also, the dinner (in Roman costumes) was wonderful. According to my wishes, I got a vegetarian menu which was extremely delicious. The atmosphere of this place is just wonderful.

Akla Hotel Mérida is in the historic heart of Mérida, 30 metres from the Temple of Diana. The hotel has a spa and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Large room, great for our family to relax after exploring the Roman sites. We all loved the spa in the room. Fantastic location and delicious breakfast made to order.

Set in Merida, 400 metres from National Museum of Roman Art, Hostal Aquaforum has a number of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. The location for this space is wonderful. It's basically in the heart of Merida which means it's about a 10 minute walk (max) to get anywhere. The facilities at the hotel were also lovely. The room itself was a little bare-bones but not in a bad way, it just felt clean and open. The absolute best part though was the pool. Even though it's small it's an absolute must in the Spanish summer heat (as is the air conditioner in the room). As a single woman I felt safe and comfortable, and the staff were all very lovely and accomodating even with my limited Spanish.

Dating from 1902, this restored palace is located next to Llerena's Plaza Mayor Square and a 30-minute drive from Zafra. The staff were very nice and helpful. Thank you
