Set in Madrid’s Plaza de España Square, Barceló Torre Madrid offers elegant rooms with free WiFi, an indoor pool and on-site restaurant. Plaza de España Metro Station is right beside the hotel. The property was clean and the rooms were huge. Staff friendly and amenities excellent. Very quiet considering they are in central Madrid. Glass may be sound proof. We were on holiday with two other couples and they were staying at hotels more central similarly priced. The feedback we got from them on their hotels was noisy and slightly run down ‘travel lodge’ like. We totally lucked out with this hotel one and it was as close to many of the restaurants as them anyway.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, the elegant Wellington Hotel in Madrid’s Salamanca district is just 100 metres from Retiro Park. Everything in the hotel was really nice, from the delicious breakfast to the cool swimming pool! You can´t beat the great location, we walked everywhere, there are a lot of shops and restaurants in the area. And if you have to get around to another point there are taxis just outside the hotel. Staff are super friendly and the room was very big and comfy.

Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá - The Leading Hotels of the World is located 300 metres from Madrid's Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre and the Cathedral. Everything: the reception when you arrive, the room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were heaven, the food was really great. I had to leave before breakfast and they prepared a little to-go bag with fruit, coffee, juice, a sandwich etc. Everything was perfect.
