The location in an enchanting forest in the middle of a winter wonderland and away from the crowds and lights of the nearby town of Akaslompolo (though not too far as to make it a long drive) was excellent for peaceful relaxation and observation of the northern lights. The staff were excellent and made every effort to accommodate to our needs and special requests. The pirate sauna/jacuzzi and ice hole were a delight!

Northern Lights Ranch provides cabins with large windows and a heated glass ceiling. Each unit is equipped with a seating area and a private bathroom with bidet and free toiletries. Lovely stay, the cabins are clean and very lovely. We got to see the northern lights which was great. Dinner at the restaurant was also very yummy, but very expensive.
