We booked the suite which was roomy and had a great terrace overlooking the property which was just amazing. The service was excellent and had a very personal touch, we felt like valued guests. The way this B&B is run should truly be an example for others. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. The host was absolutely wonderful: kind, welcoming, and patient. She took the time to explain everything clearly, showed us around, and even greeted us with a freshly made iced tea upon arrival. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and she absolutely succeeded. She also gave us great tips on what to do in town and where to eat. The surroundings of the B&B were just as charming, with a small, beautifully maintained garden where you can relax with a drink. There’s also a cozy and nicely decorated common room with a complimentary coffee machine, an extra touch we really appreciated. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with fresh, especially tasty bread that stood out.

AND it's only a 15 minute drive to Pau city center. What more do you need?

An excellently managed and well-maintained hotel. The apartments are very spacious and lavishly equipped, including the kitchen. The room furnishings and patio furniture are excellent. The swimming pool (2) is heated and large. Plenty of sun loungers are available. Very attentive and friendly mangement and staff. The Wine bar offers a huge selection of cocktails beer and wine. Interesting that the there is no reception as everything is done online. Domme a picturesk small village has many nice restaurants if you want to go out and not use your own kitchen facilities.

I’d spent a great time in this cosy and nicely decorated property. The hosts are really friendly and helpful. They provided us some great dinner recommendation in the town of Libourne. Also, their cutest dog, Tango, is extremely friendly too and it’s definitely the loveliest. Apart from that, would like to thank you for helping us to arrange a bouquet of flower to celebrate my friend’s engagement 🥰 We wish to return to La Maison Mulato in the future again.

Helpful staff, beautiful bedrooms, a stunning restaurant and breakfast room overlooking the water and a perfect pool for swimming, lying in the sun or relaxing. A truly exceptional destination - we will definitely return.
