Room was a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Location was good for Kendal and surrounding areas. Hotel grounds beautiful. Breakfast good. Spa facilities good had a massage and swim in the pool.

Gorgeous landscaped garden with estuary views . Split level terrace ideal for afternoon tea or evening drinks.
Period oak panelled interior with huge inglenook fireplaces. Excellent buffet breakfast.
The Spa is well worth booking too with thermal hot tubs , ice fountain, cold plunge, sauna and steam room.
A 5 minute walk to the village and promenade.
Ample parking.

The location was good and the layout of the hotel was good. The public areas were beautifully laid out. Our hot tub was a real luxury and kept maintained every day. The Spa area was beautiful.

Food was exceptional, we ate breakfast every morning which was fresh and delicious, we had dinner one night both the Lamb and steak were cooked and present perfectly, both service and food were fantastic. Spa although small it was adequate, fresh and relaxing.

We like the first spacious, well appointed room we had for 2 nights with a very comfortable bed, good & well equipped bathroom and both comfortably warm. Our second room wasn’t as well equipped.
The spa facility was good with a good sized pool, excellent steam room & jacuzzi massages within the pool. The staff in the spa facility were particularly warm, friendly and welcoming.
We had a good meal at the nearby pub - ‘Wainwrights’. At breakfast, there was plenty of choice and it was well set out.

The hotel is quite big, beautiful territory, good breakfast, you can have a tasty dinner there and spend time in a good bar with great views. There is a leisure spa center with steam room, sauna and a swimming pool. The room was clean.

I was upgraded to one of the boutique rooms which was huge! 4 poster bed, chaise longue, and even a bath in the room - I felt like I was in Bridgerton! The room was at the rear of the property so nice and quiet.
Nice gardens to sit out in the evening sunshine with a drink and book!
Breakfast was good - mix of cereal, pastries and hot food served buffet style.
Used the Spa facilities- had a facial and massage which was so relaxing.
Staff super friendly and helpful.

First class hotel with two excellent restaurants. Hotel is set in a gorgeous location. Bedroom well fitted with en-suite shower room. Staff very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Beautiful spa with two exterior infinity pools plus one indoor infinity pool. Another large pool with several saunas and steam rooms. Large variety of treatments offered in the Spa. Can recommend the all over body massage.

Breakfast and dinner - the food was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The spa area was wonderful, very relaxing and the Soul Soother massage was amazing. Mine was done by Amelia, highly recommended.
