The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. The breakfast and choice was absolutely amazing. The best we have had at a hotel. It was all fresh and constantly topped up. We had not planned to eat evening meals in the hotel, but the food was so good we ate there every night. The room too was fantastic, with plenty of space. Marc the concierge was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great walks suitable for us and the buses to get to them. The receptionists were also very welcoming showing us around the hotel and our room on arrival. The location of the hotel is good too, just a few minutes walk from the center and therefore not too noisy. A few days after we left I realised that I had left an expensive item of clothing behind. The hotel kindly arranged to post this home for me. We usually holiday in the Med but with the high temperatures we now get there during summer, decided to try the UK this year. We had such an enjoyable time will definitely be back next summer.

I had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, but still quiet and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure I had everything for a smooth experience. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again in the future!

Breakfast is complimentary and offered in traditional full English breakfast with fish options. Vegetarian and Vegan alternatives are also offered. B’fast was varied - you choose from menu. However Kirsty made sure to accommodate us especially because of dietary requirements. It was always served warm & on time !

Set in 21 acres of country gardens, moors and woodland, Gilpin Hotel has a Michelin starred restaurant, a casual pan Asian restaurant, a Champagne Bar, lounge and terraces, a relaxing Spa Space as well as resident llamas, alpacas, and micro pigs. I especially enjoyed peace and quietness around the property. Nature around is amazing. Facilities are fantastic especially in spa suites.

Beaumont House is a charming, family-run Victorian guesthouse, exclusively for adults, nestled in a peaceful location just moments from the vibrant center of Windermere. Perfectly positioned, it is only a short stroll from Windermere Railway Station and offers complimentary Wi-Fi and private on-site parking. Staff were very welcoming. Good location. Free Health club was relaxing. Overall a lovely stay.

This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. We had such a wonderful stay at this lodge! The place is very cozy, spotless, and clearly well cared for. Since it’s run directly by the owners, the service feels personal and truly superb. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, making it very convenient. One thing that really stood out was the thoughtful touches: complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies, all refilled daily—something you don’t usually get at hotels. We booked this for our advance wedding anniversary and were greeted with a sweet little surprise, which made our stay extra special. We only paid a small amount for an additional chocolate treat, which was absolutely worth it. Breakfast was also fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from. You can really feel the love and care Rich and Ada put into running their lodge—it makes all the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake District!

The extensive breakfast menu includes a choice of fruit, homemade jam and marmalade, a traditional cooked breakfast or continental and vegetarian options. Locally sourced produce is used. This is a very lovely family, when we arrived from the train station, the road is not far, but it is very tiring to carry the luggage, the host helped us to carry the luggage to the top floor, the room for 3 people, the room is very clean, the host must be a very diligent person, the breakfast is super, the hostess is lovely and very polite, The cleanliness of their home is the best I have seen in more than ten years of travel. They must love their home very much, so they can run it so well. We live in room No. 7, and we will bring friends here again in the future.
