This splendid manor house is set in 35 acres of wooded parkland and offers modern facilities in historic surroundings. The property boasts an indoor pool and a gymnasium. The staff from the reception through to the restaurant and bar were all exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive providing a genuine sense of being warmly welcomed as a guest, rather than a customer. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, food was excellent. Surrounded by tall trees and expansive grounds to wander, birds everywhere (including some fabulous and very friendly peacocks).

Breakfast was excellent. The place was very clean and walking distance from the train station. Richard was an excellent host who was available for us at all times. He was very knowledgeable about the area and he provided us with a few helpful recommendations.

Set in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside, Champneys Tring health resort has modern rooms in a classic English stately home. Outstanding customer service. Amazing spa facilities. Definitely, I will be coming back.
