From reception to pool bar, restaurant, SPA...everyone is exceptional - Owner really cares about his guests. Our last evening, after dinner, the owner of this resort overheard my wife asking a waitress about figs, which we could not find in stores. It was around 10 pm, and we did not even know who this man was. He went out in the dark to pick up figs and gave them to us in a nice chest half an hour later. Unbelievable! - Room size and cleanliness - The SPA has a wide range of services, and the personnel are very well qualified - Extremely comfy mattress - Quiet place where you can really relax and enjoy the amazing sea - Nature: I have never seen such a clean and easily accessible sea, and I am from southern Italy, where we have an amazing coast. I will never forget it.

Kastro Maini is located in the heart of the historic Areopolis, in central Mani. The traditional stone-built building features a pool with hydromassage and a pool for children.

Accommodation at Kastro Maini consists of well-furnished, spacious rooms with traditional iron beds. The private balconies have view to the gulf of Messiniakos or to the southern part of the Mount of Taygetos, called Sagias. I had a lovely room with a wonderful sea view which captured perfect sunsets so was very happy with that outlook. The room and bathroom were both an adequate size with a little balcony with excellent drying facilities for wet bathers. The pool and area around it were spacious and very relaxing. The gardens were beautifully maintained. Breakfast had a wide choice and all well presented. An excellent stay and won't hesitate to book again if in that area.

The gourmet restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine using hand-picked ingredients with contemporary twists, whereas the appealing Spa offers a variety of treatments including a traditional hammam. A restaurant offering more casual dining options is also available. Meet & Greet by Stavros on the golf buggie to collect the luggage, room was great, dining at main restaurant, breakfast and tavern were excellent. Marieta at the pool was very attentive to all guests.
