The hotel is arranged like a tiny village where everybody has their own private space. It is beautifully located high above the ionian sea, offering breathtaking sunsets on the balcony and on the terrace restaurant. the staff (from manager to the waitresses) were unbelievably polite and welcoming. We really felt at home! the restaurant is also excellent and we found nothing better in the Areopoli surroundings. For equally delicious food, you will have to travel to Stoupa or Kardamili ;-) In summary, a dream of a hotel, 100% recommendable! Dare to stay more than just two nights - we had never stayed longer in hotels before and we loved the laid back feeling of having a "home" for an entire week. Our 5 month old baby was also lovingly taken care of - the kitchen offered to make fresh fruit- or vegetable purees so he could try his first solid foods.

Kastro Maini is located in the heart of the historic Areopolis, in central Mani. The traditional stone-built building features a pool with hydromassage and a pool for children. Nice pool with bar that we used every morning as it was too hot to drive to the beaches. Only 5 min walk to the center of Areopolis. Very clean. Strongly recommended.

The stone-built Petra & Fos Boutique Hotel nestles on the southern cliff-side of Mt. Taigetos. It offers accommodation of traditional architecture with panoramic views over the gulf of Itilo. The location was perfect with beautiful view of the mountains and sea. The hotel is beautiful designed. Breakfast was great!
