Loved that the hotel is super traditional and offers temazcal, a very authentic Guatemalan sauna experience. Staff were great organizing a guide for a sunrise hike up to the Mayan nose viewpoint. They were also super accommodating about having to change dates twice. Really enjoyed their typical Guatemalan breakfast as well.

From the staff, to the grounds, to the food and the service, this hotel was the most wonderful place. My fiancée asked me to marry him there and there genuinely would not have been a more special surrounding. Astrid was also amazing as were all the staff we interacted with. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Offering a garden, VILLAS JUCANYA Super Higienizadas offers accommodation in Panajachel. Antigua Guatemala is 49 km away. Loved sitting on the upstairs patio and having breakfast. Kitchen was equipped enough to cook a couple of dinners. Beds were comfortable. Shower worked well.

Hotel Utz Jay is located 2 blocks from Lake Atitlan in Panajachel. It offers lush gardens and fruit trees, a hot tub and a Mayan-style sauna filled with relaxing aromatic herbs. One of my favourite places to stay from Guatemala. Really close to the centre, beautiful room with such a nice view, even from the bathroom, over the green garden. You can stay here for a beer (from the next door shop) and a chat. The breakfast is not included, but there are great and fair priced options at the on site restaurant. They also have a laundry service. And the staff is great!

Hotel Atitlan, located in front of Lake Atitlán, is a rustic-style property offering extensive gardens and panoramic views of Atitlan Lake. It has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a botanical garden. This property is magical! The staff is excellent and went above and beyond to make us happy. It’s also a great place to take kids. You can see an active volcano from the gardens at night.
